Halloween 2013

The merry band

Friar Tuck

Maid Marian

Our fearless leader--Robin Hood

Little John

Friar Tuck's classy and monkish haircut...yes, that's all his real hair!
This year we have listened to The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood at least twice, so it made perfect sense to turn ourselves into that merry band of lusty knaves for Halloween!  We attended the Goldcrest Ward Trunk or Treat Activity.  I made cheesy potato soup and rolls to take for supper.  The children and I ate the food we took while Mark ventured into non-vegetarian territory.  After the dinner, we adjourned to the parking lot to trick or treat.  There were yummy funnel cakes being made and served, and lots of candy-goodness being served a-la-carte from trunks.  Mark created, transported, set-up, and manned Friar Tuck's Ale House.  It looked really good!  My photography skills (or lack thereof) do not do it justice.

Fisher is already planning next year's costumes.  He has so many things he wants to dress up as and so little time. Emme wants to be a princess, any princess...the prettier, the girlier, and the pinker...the better. And Henry, well, he's just happy to be wearing anything.  Though, he was pretty into the trick or treating.  The look on his little face was priceless--"people are putting nummy things into my bucket...it's my lucky day!" He kept reaching his little hand into the bucket to finger the candy that had been given to him.

Fun, food, costumes, and happy children =another successful Halloween.  All in all, it was a good evening.
